Set up your labels
From the box to a priced case in about fifteen minutes for your first ten labels.
In development. These steps describe how setup is planned to work and may change before launch.
Check what's in the box
Your starter kit includes:
- E-ink labels with batteries fitted
- Spare CR2450 coin batteries
- Reusable adhesive pads or stands to sit labels in front of cards
Install the app
Download Labeleon from the App Store on an iPhone with Bluetooth turned on. Create your account, or skip it and use the app offline.
Add your labels
Tap Add labels and keep the labels within a few metres of your phone. The app lists each label it finds by the ID printed on its back, for example L-0013. Select them all and tap Pair.
Add your cards
Tap Add card, then scan the barcode on a graded slab or type the card name. Enter:
- Asking price, shown on the label
- What you paid, private to you
- Your floor, the lowest you'll accept, also private
Link each card to a label
Choose a label for the card and tap Save. The label refreshes with the price within a few seconds. Repeat for each card, or import a spreadsheet of your inventory.
Set up your case
Place each label in front of its card. Group labels by case in the app (Case 1, Case 2) so you can discount one case at a time.
At the show
Keep the app open at your table. It re-sends every price every few minutes, so a label is never wrong for long. At checkout, scan the label to check its code matches.
Common questions
A label didn't update
Move your phone closer. Labels update over Bluetooth within roughly 10 metres, less through glass and metal cases. If it still fails, check the battery level for that label in the app.
How long do the batteries last?
E-ink only uses power when the price changes, so a label lasts many months on its coin batteries. The app warns you when one is getting low.
Can I update labels through the case glass?
Yes. Bluetooth works through glass and acrylic, so you can update prices without opening the case.
Do I need Wi-Fi or mobile signal at the show?
No. Prices go straight from your phone to the labels. Your inventory syncs to your account the next time you're online.
What if someone tries to change a price?
Your app knows what every label should show and re-sends prices regularly. Each label also shows a check code, and the app flags any label whose code doesn't match.
